Lovify (“Lovify“, “we“, “us” or “our“) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Most importantly:

We do not sell or disclose your personal data to third parties for their own advertising, marketing, or other commercial purposes.

We only process your information to operate, maintain, and improve the Lovify mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service“).


1  Definitions

2  What We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the Service:

No credit‑card numbers or billing addresses are stored on our servers. All payments are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, who act as independent data controllers for payment information.


3  How & Why We Use Your Data

  • Operate the Service — authenticate you, show quizzes, sync game progress.
  • Process Purchases — verify in‑app purchases, manage subscription status.
  • Improve & Debug — monitor crashes and aggregate feature‑usage to prioritise fixes.
  • Communicate — send important service‑related emails (e.g., account recovery, critical updates). Marketing emails are opt‑in and can be unsubscribed at any time.

We rely on one of the following legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): contract performance, legitimate interest (e.g., fraud prevention, app improvement), or consent (for marketing communications).


4  No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data

  • We have never sold user data and never will.
  • We do not disclose personal data to advertising networks, data brokers, or other third parties for their independent use.
  • Limited data may be processed by trusted Service Providers—solely to help us run Lovify. They must keep it confidential and may not use it for any other purpose.

Analytics — We use Firebase and (optionally) Google Analytics only with anonymised IP and event‑level data. You can opt‑out of analytics in the in‑app Settings.


5  Data Retention

We keep Personal Data only as long as you have an active Lovify account or as otherwise required by law. If you delete your account from within the app, we permanently erase:

  • Account details and identifiers
  • Gameplay history
  • Subscription metadata (kept only as pseudonymised audit log for 90 days to settle chargebacks)

6  International Transfers

Our servers are hosted in the European Union and India. Where data is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved safeguards.


7  Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may:

  • Access a copy of your data
  • Delete your account and associated data (self‑service inside the app)
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time

8  Children’s Privacy

Lovify is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Parents may request deletion of minor data via [email protected].


9  Security

We use industry‑standard measures such as HTTPS encryption, least‑privilege access controls, and regular security reviews. Despite our efforts, no method is 100% secure; please use Lovify responsibly.


10  Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you in‑app or by email at least 14 days before the new terms take effect and update the “Last updated” date above.
